Back To Health: It’s Weekend Warrior Time

It’s Saturday and it’s time for you to get back to health through a greater state of conscious awareness. Commit to yourself. What works for me is achieving a greater level of mental fitness through swimming. I made it to the gym 4 times this week and swam.

My goal is 6 days a week. As Nike says JUST DO IT! Only I can get back to health, no one will jump in the pool for me. If you swim, you know the ‘rush’ you receive from it. And it doesn’t leave you after you get out of the pool. What’s the slogan in the Energizer Battery commercial, the one with the rabbit in it?

I posted the video above to my Facebook page as a preamble to Sunday. The last statement of words from the video were powerful and provoking-”Yesterday you were poised for big things. Today take flight.” Isn’t that what beingĀ  a weekend warrior is all about–being supercharged at the gym, workout routine and taking control in other areas of your life? Getting back to health.

Then you eviscerate yourself and evaporate like the morning fog at 5:59am on Monday. Back to health with two steps forward, and 5 steps back. A reminder, more people die at 9am on Monday than any other time. Wonder why? Because they couldn’t figure out what the hell they had done with their life, and then one Monday morning it hit them like a ton of bricks. Ka bang–DOA! Aren’t I encouraging?

The message in the you tube video will make you think about your life. What you have done and what you have failed to do. What you can be, what you can do for others. You are great, act upon and magnify that greatness!

Exercise works, its not just about the physical-it clears your mind, raises you up. Get back to health and start doing it. Do it on a Monday! That and exercise…

You matter,Chad.

Liked your blog Chad. As much as I don’t like to exercise , I feel better each day I add to my routine. Eventually, I actually look forward to it because of the way it makes me feel the rest of the day.
