A Veterans Day History Of Past And Present
Ask yourself today, what does a Veterans Day history of men and women in an endless stream of dying look like for you? Do you think of the millions of men and women who have the indomitable courage to get their brains blown to bits for you? For you!
How about the women and men who made it through with traumatic injuries, men and women who have come home seemingly without a scratch, their consciousness seared with the horror and hell of war forever. Some talk about it,some never and others can’t cope, are homeless or kill themselves. All for you!
I don’t care what you political beliefs are,I don’t care if you believe in war or not. I do care that you get on your knees and thank God for these good women and men who had the courage,to join our Armed Forces, let alone go fight and die for you!
This is what a Veterans Day history is about. I do care that you support our troops! These brave men and women have the courage of God to do what they do. To say I pale in comparison to what they accomplish, is a vast understatement.
A Veterans Day history of past and present is not just about today, the ceremonies, businesses being closed and all day specials at the mall. It is a minute by minute process throughout the world by our men and women.
It’s why I can sit here at my computer and write this, why you have the choice of going to the gym today or laying on the sofa all day with the remote. A friend of mine is going to Disneyland today,it’s why he can go. It’s why this weekend you can go to any church, synagogue or mosque you desire. This what a Veterans Day history is about. It’s why you get to live free!
For the courageous Men and Women in the Armed Forces who have sacrificed all else–Our Troops!
