Where Are We Going?

Well, where are we going? What are we doing? Who are we being? Questions we can all ask ourselves. You may be reading this over your first cup of coffee on the West Coast while you are still waking up from that morning brain fog,in your office on the East Coast, the end of your work day in London or somewhere in the dark hours of night in Asia.

I read on a fellow Tweeter’s profile about  ” …loving living life above ground.” Or as a gentlemen well into his 90′s mentioned to me one day when I was at the gym and I asked him how he was doing,he responded back confidently and with a smile…”Great,I woke up today!”

We are always crossing some bridge in life. There are days we wonder how will even take the first step, let alone cross over. And other days where we march triumphantly with all the fanfare and trumpets blasting.

It is almost the end of the first month of the new year of a fresh decade. Where are we going with the resolutions we made for that so recent, but seemingly so long ago New Year’s 2010. And I could be writing this just as easily in July. Because it doesn’t matter.

Pick up the pieces and start fresh today for the commitment(s) you  made to yourself a few short weeks ago. Nobody is watching but you,and I know that can be the scariest of all. We can all be our worse critic and judge.

And when you hit those moments realize today is a new day,a new beginning and somehow take a deep breath and just begin right where you are. Take that first step. I know personally my commitment was to go swimming 6 times a week. And the most challenging thing for me is to walk to the car,put the key in and turn on the ignition. Last week I made it 4 times.

So give your self credit, you’re a great person wherever you are, what ever you’re doing, who ever you’re becoming! I may not personally know you yet,but I’m your biggest fan! All the best!

Thanks,Chad
