Keeping A Sound Mind
Talk about keeping a sound mind! Just yesterday morning,here in LA County,a 7 year old hid in the bathroom (with his 6 year old sister) and made a 911 call,as three men broke into their home and threatened their parents.
The men ultimately broke into the bathroom,asking the boy who he was talking to,911 he said! The men left and the family was alive because of the heroism,unbelievable courage and bravery of this young man!
A sound mind indeed!
Who among us could keep a sound mind in a situation like that? Yet,we are bombarded every day with things coming at us in all directions,good and not so good.
We are always at choice. We may have the time to ponder,mull over or not,at times it is a matter of a nano second.
Multiple times through the grace of God and a sound mind,my life has literally been spared on our Southern California freeways. I also have seen on the very same freeways,those not so fortunate,in accidents and death.
I heard a speaker this morning say “a panicked mind is a manic mind”,so true. It isn’t about us having a sound mind,the vast majority of us have one. It’s about us keeping a sound mind!
