And to complete ‘strangers’… by the way, just to put the record straight–there has never been strangers! There has never been People who we don’t know! The discoveries of the Gnome project and research ‘confirm’ the immutable truth of our ‘same parents’! …Which should have no bearing in the first place!
Make a HARD conscious committment to make a difference all day, everyday, beginning at home, and carry it forth from there. In your words, steps and handshake.
In just saying hello with a smile, to thousands of customers over the years, I see how in the ’twinkling of an eye’ their whole demeanor is transformed, and my own soul is lifted. Seriously.
We can never know how many lives we will change and restore everyday by our common human decency and simple good manners!
Do these things and begin to make a difference right NOW! Smile (you know, show your teeth), say HELLO, (OMG! We might have to speak like we meant it!).
Tell the guys at the gas station they’re doing a terrific job, hold open the door for someone, give a person your parking space (no, the world won’t end), hand out compliments, let someone in front of you in traffic, in line, stand up when you shake someone’s hand.
Pray for others, give a powerful “God Bless” when you pass by an accident. Be attentive and listen, use the phone with courtesy, especially if it is a tele-marketer!
