Quit Being Sweet!

What if Americans quit and released their hold on sugar?
And they consumed it moderately?
And not as a key layer of their  personal food pyramid?
It would instantaneously snow in hell!
How much sugar do you eat daily?  There is the obvious, however, do you read the labels and sugar content of everything you buy?  Everything?
I have heard more than one motivating conversation from different people who simply gave up sugar loaded drinks ( in any form) and how it ignited their weight loss success story.
