Is This Just Another One Of Those Weekend Seminars That I Have Been To Before Or Does This Guy Herb Actually Have Something To Offer? …Time To Get Wet?
I was invited to attend the Breath of Fresh Air seminar in June 2009, however, I was skeptical about going. The doubt about what I would get out of it, rivaled my desire to go. The price was incredible, the time minimal (a Saturday/Sunday) and was less than two miles from my house. What was there to think about?
I have done this before?
I have participated in events, seminars and taken accredited classes for over 15 years, while receiving my Practitioner’s license in the Art & Science of mental healing. My perception of what this seminar could bring to my life was clouded by the feeling that this could be more of the same. Not that that’s a bad thing. I questioned how much internal value and content could I would receive? Was I willing to put forth the mental workout and conscious effort to do it?
The little small voice
Isn’t it funny how a simple phone call, a voice, a hello from a ’stranger’, a greeting, can change everything. It was a phone call from one of my respected colleagues Audrey Wegner. Her words as usual, were encouraging, uplifting and thought provoking. The light went on in my head and I thought ‘duh’, how ridiculous is the concept of a dark room when the impulse for illumination is within a hands reach of the switch.
About me
I am an Entrepreneur who believes that you get out of life by what you put into it. Empowering and uplifting myself and others through thought, mind, action is my mission. My vision is that through this mission we are building a greater world with no one left behind. Chewing on it one bite at a time!
Arriving Saturday morning I felt I had made the right choice in my commitment to attend. Intuitively, I knew it was the thing to do, nonetheless, there was still some hesitancy in the back of my mind. Ahhh…how life works. However, as the seminar began to progress I could see for myself that everyone was starting to get into it.
About Herb Tanzer.
Herb himself is likeable, approachable and down to earth. His redeeming quality is putting the spotlight on himself through his self-deprecating sense of humor. With his own personal journey of self-discovery through a path of twists and turns, he shares his openness and honesty with everyone. Herb has assisted, coached and worked with 500,000 people traveling worldwide as a ‘Unlife’ / ‘Aliveness’ coach. He show will show you how to ignite a greater life within you now and leave behind a half-medicated one of sleepwalking.
What do YOU want?
One of my favorite quotes from Herb is: “I will end your life as you know it. So you can begin your life.” I have traveled in Asia, Eastern Europe, South America and here in America. People are the same everywhere. We all have hopes, desires and dreams that we want fulfilled–the same smile. We care, mean well and yearn to do better, give life meaning and bring others along the way with us.
What are you questions? Who am I? What am I here for? Where am I? What does all this mean? I can remember being a kid and staring in the bathroom mirror asking… desperately trying to figure out who and what was this thing doing staring back at me stuffed between skin and bones?
The gift is you
You ultimately do the work in these seminars. Only you can get on the bike, training wheels or not. You can walk around the outside of the pool for only so long, then you have to get in and get wet. Only you can get in the driver’s seat and DRIVE–try sitting on the passenger side by yourself, alone in the car, and see how far you get.
There are about 40,000 weekends in your life, give or take a few thousand. Unless, you plan to live as long as Noah or some Indian Yogis, and after taking this, who knows? Stranger things have occurred. Is it worth one Saturday and Sunday of your existence to attend? Whether your are 20, 50 or 80 does not matter! It’s about YOU. It’s about liberating yourself, choosing the choices you make, being accountable, and running your life, not letting your life run you. It’s NOT about incremental change, it’s about your personal ascendancy NOW! I don’t mean the Star Trek kind…a least not yet.
You’ll be glad you did
It’s like swimming, you see others doing it and you know it’s good for you. However, you must jump in and begin. A huge breakthrough for me was the ‘things’ you think you know…you don’t know. That is a trap we can all get into with out realizing it, this true was for me.
‘We don’t know that we don’t know’… ‘reason is the lowest form of humanity’ and breaking all concepts, ideas and convaluted perceptions you have…how to remove your ‘unmental’ lenses consciously, are just a few ground breakers…
… That’s all for now folks.
